Course Overview:

Medical Billing and Coding is one of the fastest growing careers in the health care industry today. The need for professionals that understand how to code health care services and procedures for third party insurance reimbursement is growing substantially. Physician practices, hospitals, pharmacies, long-term care facilities, chiropractic practices, physical therapy practices and other health care providers all depend on medical billing and coding for insurance carrier reimbursement. This Medical Coding course is practical and shows you exactly how to code using all of today's coding systems by providing an in-depth introduction to essential coding concepts. In addition to coverage of reimbursement, ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and inpatient coding, this course offers complete coverage of the ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding system.

Prerequisite: Medical Terminology.  If you do not know Medical Terminology, you can purchase our course at an additional cost.
